Back in June of the year 2000 Leah Freeman disappeared in from her smalltown just around dusk when she was walking home from a freinds house. Police have now reopened this cold-case because they say that since 10 years have passed, the witnesses have now become more mature about what happened and are coming forward with key information. Since the case has been reopened the main suspect in the case is Leah's boyfriend who was supposed to pick her up at her friends house that night. But her friend and her had gotten into a fight, and Leah decided to go home early. After she disappeared her body wasn't found until a month later in a neighboring town.
One thing that i do not understand about this case or this article is why they are saying they are reopening this case now that witnesses, who didn't see her being abducted are coming forward with information. Considering the information is 10 years old it cannot still be clear in that persons mind what actually happend that night. Considering i can't remember what i had did last week in math class, i don't think that people are going to recall little tiny details that happend 10 years ago. But if they want to do this now because the forensic science is going to be so much better, wouldn't thebasic forensic evidence have already deteriorated 10 years later? I guess nowadays they can preserve even the simpilist particles of evidence. But to have her boyfreind as the main suspect i believe is a bit ridiculous, just because he was out smoking pot doesnt meant that he went and killed his girlfriend. Even though they had found a white male tank top on his front porch, and she was wearing one the night she died doesn't mean he killed her. Boys do tend to wear male white tank tops. But hopefully they find the killer in this case.
