WWII biplane flips upside during landing

A plane flipped upside down on the runway during a landing at a show at the Ronald Regan National Airport. They were doing an extremly difficult landing and they just flipped the plane. It landed first on the tail end as well as bouncing on the wing and tips a few times. Luckily, the two pasengers were not hurt during the incident, they later relaxed over a cup of coffee and laughed off the incident. There was damage to the wing, prop, and tail of the captains plane. The man flying the plane has had alot of experience flying planes and showing them off in shows.

Well this is just a stupid thing that happened. A freak accident i would say, but both of those people in the plane are extremly lucky to even be alive. They should be happy. Thankfully only their plane was semi-destroyed. Airplane shows are very entertaining i think, even just watching them my stomache does flips and such. They are very brave people who go and do such things, i mean what would happen if the harness broke open, or you crashed into another plane? You would be dead. Thats what would happen, and then multiple people would be sad. I don't think that i would like to go into a plane thats doing flips and such over 100 mph in the air. Not for me.

Children's quality of life declining, says report

About 21 percent of all the children in the United States will be living below the poverty line in 2010. That is the highest percentage in almost 20 years. This is due to the families economic well being plummeting in the last 25 years. Most families now a days have cut back on how many children they have, but studies show that the larger the family is the more likely they are to be in poverty. Also there is an expected peak in the obesity of children. Since the families with the tighter budjets will be moving towards buying less healthy food for cheaper, the weight levels in most children is expected to rise.

This is so sad. Why can't people seem to use birth control and be able to raise healthy children who dont have to live in poverty and know nothing about going hungry at night because their parents cannot possible feed all of them. They shouldn't have to eat canned fruit high in sugars and saturated fats if their parents could afford to buy fresh fruits and veggies that are actually healthier for them. Also peopel should start adopting the children who are in their own country that are growing up hungry and cold. Yes its a wonderful thing when other children are adopted outside of the United States, don't get me wrong, but then if their are plenty of children going hungry in our own nation why don't we just adopt them? It seems to make more sense to me, but apparently not to every other family that has adopted from outside of the country.

3 hurt in pipeline blast in Texas Panhandle

A pipeline had exploded in the northern panhandle of Texas early on Tuesday morning. At least three were injured. Many more are still missing, or unaccounted for. People who heard the blast from more than a mile away called in the authorities, and several fire departments went out to the blast sight to see what can be done. The gas company has to now figure out a way to shut the gas off, they do not want it to be leaking into the air. They most definetly don't want it leaking into the air and reaching the nearby town of 300 residents that is close by.

What is wrong with all of the oil and gas pipelines nowasdays? Seriously this is horrible! It's one disaster after another, absolutaly ridiculous. Get ahold of what is going on. How hard can it possibly be to go and make sure that everything is going to run smoothly...it's probably not. People have gotten so lazy nowadays that they are forgetting the simplist of things. Checking pressure gauges, or making sure there are not leaks to cause explosions or other pipelines to burst into flames. The world is all of a sudden becoming one big polluted place. If global warming is actually true, its most definetly going to start happening now.

Mexico asks for probe into teen's shooting death by U.S. border agent

A teen was shot during a rock throwing protest on Monday. They say that the teen was participating in the events and even after verbal warnings was shot and later died at a nearby hospital. The body of the teen was found on the mexican side of the border. The area where the assault occured is a very common ground for such outbreaks. They are being taken very seriously now due to the 799 assaults on border patrol officers in the 2009-2010 year. One officer says that it's not like they are throwing pebbles.

The border patrol has taken this a little bit to far now. They do not need to be opening fire on citizens, even if they are throwing rocks or pebbles or anything at all. They were on the Mexican side of the border, they should be allowed to protest wherever and whenever they like, as long as they are on their own side. If they cross into the United States there is a little bit of a difference because they are here illegaly. But still, they should not be shot. Taken into custody, tried and punished yes. But shot and killed, most definetly not.

Tracking the Gulf oil spill

Oil is spewing into the Gulf and no one has any idea as to how big or how bad this spill is actually getting. The leak in the bottom of the ocean is spilling at a rate of 12,000 to 19,000 gallons per day. Also as of May17 a possible 260,000 to 540,000 gallons of oil have spilled into the ocean. That is much oil, it could fill up 34 olympic sized swimming pools, but also the estimate could be way off some experts say. It is possible a few million gallons of oil have leaked. Also over 160 miles of fishing grounds in the ocean have now been coated with oil, and thousands of miles surrounding those oil saturated lands have been closed to fishing.

I personally think that all of this is a bit ridiculous. If BP would have followed the safety rules in place none of this would have happend. Who even allowed such a company, who has had multiple violations already on their oil rigs, build another one out in the middle of the ocean? That was the dumbest decision someone could have ever made. This is an environmental disaster that will be extremly hard to fix. All of the wildlife that is being threatend by this disasster is absolutaly horrifying, the efforts to help and save the animals is not enough, they are sill getting oil soaked and they are still dying. The BP oil company should both, be federally charged for their offenses as well as hurry up and stop the leaking oil.
